Leadership and Management Development Programs
CPM delivers a wide range of management and leadership services to public sector departments and agencies, helping build capability and improve performance through the development of human capital.
A focal point for our work is the delivery of leadership and management development programs. Some examples of the type and format of these programs we currently deliver include:
- residential leadership programs for EL1-2 and APS5-6 for several Commonwealth agencies;
- Canberra-based leadership programs for several Commonwealth agencies;
- an SES residential leadership program with a focus on strategic capability; and
- two-day change management workshops for EL1-2 staff.
CPM works with a number of different Departments and Agencies to develop programs that meet the specific business requirements of the organisation. Current clients include the Australian Customs and Border Protection Service, the Australian Agency for International Development (AusAID), the Department of Families, Housing, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs (FaHCSIA), the Department of Defence, the Australian Federal Police and Centrelink.
Panels and Standing Officers
CPM is listed on most panels and standing offers across the APS for the provision of learning and development, training and professional services.
We are listed on the Australian Public Service Commission (APSC) panel for all five Key Areas of Expertise (KAEs) and all of our consultants are able to provide services under this arrangement.
Planning Sessions and Team Building workshops
In addition, CPM also delivers solutions to assist with strategic planning days, team building workshops and other similar initiatives. Our consultants utilise a range of tools to assist with these activities, including DiSC Workplace; the Herrmann Brain Dominance Instrument (HBDI); McCann and Margerison's Team Management Profile (TMP) and the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI). More information on these tools is available here.
We also use a range of outdoor corporate activities which can be very effective learning tools as well as providing texture and a change from the training room. In addition to the publicly available programs described in this catalogue, all CPM programs (or derivatives of them) can be run as in-house programs.
