John has worked as a consultant facilitator and trainer since 1987, operating out of his own company Interact Consulting. In 2006 he joined with Kerry Juknaitis to start Noesis Learning. John's consulting work primarily lies in:
• Facilitating business planning and team building workshops
• Designing and delivering training in communication skills such as presentation skills, negotiation, conflict resolution, group facilitation, performance management and plain English business writing
• Designing and delivering people management related training for supervisors and managers.

John has facilitated planning and team building workshops and events for groups from five people through to whole Divisions and organisations and has co-facilitated with others to lead multi-strand activities. He has designed organisation-specific major case studies and simulations and conducted highly participative workshops designed to provide maximum practice.

Previous clients over the past twenty years have included the gamut of Commonwealth public sector agencies, some State government agencies, the ACT Government, community groups and some private law firms. John has worked with civilian, military, and paramilitary groups, with administrators, managers, professional groups such as doctors, engineers and lawyers, trades-people and blue-collar employees.

Recent clients include Department of Defence, Attorney General's Department, Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forests, Department of Finance, Department of Environment and Water Resources, Department of Industry Tourism and Resources, Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and ACT Health.

Prior to becoming a consultant John spent 10 years in the APS in various human resources roles in industrial relations, human resources policy and training. He has a B.A from ANU and Dip Ed from Melbourne University and has undertaken post-Graduate studies in and provided volunteer services in Community Counselling. He is accredited to use the Myers Briggs Type Inventory, Team Management Index and the Strength Deployment Inventory and has been an accredited member of the Conflict Resolution Network.
