Analytical and Strategic Thinking

how to think straight

'Analytical and Strategic Thinking: how to think straight' is a two-day Canberra-based program run at the Australian Institute of Management (AIM) training facilities at 14 Childers Street in the city. The program is designed for APS5 and APS6 level staff (and equivalents).

Designed to help participants develop skills in supporting strategic direction, this course covers how to analyse and understand the work context; how to think more creatively and strategically; and how to draw conclusions and solve problems.

Program Leader

Program Leaders

The course is presented and led by Kerry Juknaitis,
a CPM consultant with a broad range of experience
in leadership and management development.

In 2006 CPM introduced a new program on 'Leadership and Strategic Intelligence' for EL1s and EL2s.  The program was very well received and many participants suggested that a similar program was needed for APS 5 & 6 level staff. This resultant workshop on Analytical and Strategic Thinking is designed to help participants think strategically, use information and assess it systematically, and develop their judgement.
